I'm Breanna Moore.

I’m currently a fifth year PhD candidate in the History Department at the University of Pennsylvania. I graduated from UPenn with majors in International Relations and African Studies in 2015.

My research interests include slavery, the transAtlantic slave trade, abolition and emancipation, and reparations in the African diaspora. My dissertation explores slave trade abolition and indemnities.

I’ve studied at the University of the West Indies at Cave Hill, Barbados, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Kumasi, Ghana through the UPenn International Development Summer Institute, University of KwaZulu-Natal in Durban, South Africa through the Fulbright Hays Zulu Group Project Abroad, and University of Ghana Legon.
